Valle Nevado is a ski resort located in Farellones, 64 kilometers east of Santiago, the capital of Chile. It is one of the newest ski resorts in Chile. It was created in 1989 by French entrepreneurs, following the patterns of the winter resorts of the Alps, on the slopes of Cerro El Plomo, in the Andean mountain range near Santiago.
